Charities We Support

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army has been actively serving in the Greenville, SC community for last 100 years. The Salvation Army provides social services to those with needs including food, clothing, prescription drugs and other financial assistance. The Salvation Army Greenville has an Adult rehabilitation Center and shelters; we also have trained disaster management teams in case the need arises.

In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Greenville County offers that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence. The Boys & Girls Club is a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is truly The Positive Place For Kids. We have more than 1,900 children from Greenville County who participate in the numerous activities we offer. The Club is open to any boy or girl ages 6-18. Our after school tutoring program (Smart Centers) offers homework help for elementary and middle school aged children that are at risk of failing their grade in school.

The SALSA program (Salvation Army League for Soccer and Academics) through its partnerships aims to provide an opportunity for children who do not have the means to play and learn soccer by partnering with local and large soccer clubs, offering the community a quality state of the art program. The children will also develop mentally through our character, leadership development curriculum prepared by our partners Global Events Group, which is a requirement for this program.

Our aim is to impact the community with you! Come Join us. Let's to make a difference!

A Home Away From Home since 1989: The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Carolinas provides for the physical and emotional well being of children and their families. It is a promise that all parents make to their child - I will always be there for you. But life can change in a split second. . . by an accident, or by words spoken from a doctor. The Ronald McDonald House in Greenville helps families of seriously ill children cope with the stress and expense of daily living while trying to be close and emotionally strong for their child. More than just a room and a hot meal, the Ronald McDonald House is a “home away from home” for families faced with a child’s medical crisis. It can be a quiet place to be alone, or a place of companionship, sharing, and emotional support. RMH serves Greenville Hospital System, Shriners Hospital and St.Francis hospital.

Greenville Family Partnership, a community based organization established in 1984 by parents serves not only parents, but the entire community. Our mission is simple: we work to keeps kids off of tobacco, alcohol and other substances by working with families and community. Our vision is clear while our journey is very difficult. We serve any child, teen, family, church or organization that wants to make a difference in the lives of the young people in our community as they navigate our complex, difficult, and now worldwide culture. We use researched based programs and strategies to teach positive decision making and leadership skills, attributes the youth of today must have in order to achieve success. We know that education and good decisions equal success, so we try to remove the barriers that make it more difficult for our children to achieve, and we do this through prevention and intervention by caring adults who recognize the need for ongoing guidance in our children’s lives. We provide the resources, workshops, education and strategies to anyone in the community that asks us how they can best help their children succeed. We work in all segments of the community, advocating for parents to have a voice about their children's future and providing the information they need to direct and guide their children to making the right decisions, allowing them the very best opportunities to reach their full potential and live a safe, happy, and productive life. Through collaboration we provide ongoing youth education at several sites and we lead a community coalition that works to make our community a safe place for our young people to thrive.
